GODETH Sets the Table with Crushing New Single “Leeches”
Godeth, the UK’s rising titans of groove-driven death metal, are sinking their teeth into the scene once more with their bone-crunching new single “Leeches,” set to devour streaming platforms on 9th July 2025. Ruthlessly aggressive and dripping with venom, “Leeches” chews through themes of emotional decay, toxic consumption, and personal ruin — all served with a side of groove-soaked destruction.
“This track is a reflection of the anger and frustration that comes with being drained by toxic forces in your life,” says vocalist Miles Case-Watson. “It’s about feeling like you’re being consumed, piece by piece, by people or situations that offer nothing in return. We wanted this track to feel claustrophobic and relentless, both musically and thematically.”
From the first bite, Godeth sets the table with an ominous, siren-call guitar intro, then rips the skin back with lashing riffs, groove-heavy percussion, and a vocal performance that gnaws through the soul. It’s a relentless sonic feast, soaked in blood and bile, that forces listeners to confront the parasites that feed on their peace.
Godeth aren’t just playing heavy — they’re consuming every inch of complacency in the modern metal scene. “Leeches” is a tooth-grinding onslaught that tears into the listener’s psyche with gnashing breakdowns, grotesque hooks, and melancholic undertones that linger like a hunger never satisfied. The band are set to play Mangata Festival 2025 a few days after release, which will be a triumphant return after last years successful show.
